| Redtip Power Studs are engineered for maximum performance and easy installation. Built out of premium AISI 410 stainless steel and mining grade carbide, not weaker materials like many studs on the market. Guaranteed against breaking or loss of carbide inserts for one full year. Thin 1-inch diameter heads allow the Redtip Power Studs to pull flush with the track. Twelve sharp grabbers really hold and resist spinning. Stud tips are colored red. Standard 5/16 thread. Select the proper length. Measure the distance from the inside of track to the top of paddle or lug and add 0.25 (1/4) inch to 0.375 (3/8) inch. This is the overall length of the stud to use. See application chart. Six sizes available: 0.875" studs for 0.75" tracks, 1.000" studs for 0.850" tracks, 1.150" studs for 0.920" tracks, 1.250" studs for 1" tracks, 1.400" studs for 1.25" tracks and 1.520" studs for 1.375" tracks. Nylock nuts included. Backers sold separately. Packs of 24.
Suitable for single ply tracks. Single ply tracks are primarily different in that they have only slightly thinner belts (0.020 inch thinner- or about the thickness of two business cards). Although no stud is endorsed by Camoplast, company reps and snowmobile OEMs defer to the stud manufacturers. In other words, the track people and OEMs are silent on the issue. We set up a number of one-ply track sleds with Redtip studs to determine their viability. In every case, trial demonstrations indicate that the Retip studs work fine with single ply tracks. Problems with tearout appeared when using studs with a larger diameter shank just under the head, apparently due to the need for a larger hole size. Redtip studs do not have a shank because they are made of higher grade 410 series stainless steel.
Redtip snowmobile studs are endorsed by enthusiasts from coast to coast. Joe in Minnesota says, "Redtip studs are Powder Hounds approved". I have over 6,000 miles on my Redtips. They wear longer than Extreme, Woody's Signature and others I have tried. Everybody in our group rides with Redtips.
Bob in Maine says, "We have been putting Redtip snowmobile picks on our customers sleds for years and we love how well they hold up on our rocky trails".
David in Illinois says, "I bought these before and I liked them so much that I want to buy another 720 to set up my buddy's sleds".
Doug in Wisconsin visited us at our booth at a snowmobile show and said, " I was really surprised at how well these Redtips hold up. I have over 5,000 miles on them and I haven't lost or broken a single one".
Troy in Michigan approached us at a snowmobile show and said, "These Redtip studs are amazing. I ran them last year and I was amazed". |
